Birthday Party?

I’m turning 16 in October, and I’ve decided that I want to have a party - not a big party, just a get together with around 12 of my friends. I have no idea what to do though!

I was thinking of a swim party/BBQ at my house because it’s usually really hot in October where I live, but swimming gets boring. I also thought about having dinner and seeing a movie, but movies are usually boring because you don’t really get to talk with the people you’re seeing it with. 

Sooooo if anybody has any ideas, please let me know! I just want to have a good time with my friends.
